Engagement sessions are one of my favorite things to photograph. It is so fun to capture the love of a newly engaged couple!
Lauren and Zach got engaged while they were on vacation with Zach's family at a beautiful outdoor chapel. When she texted me a picture of the ring and that he had proposed I was so excited! And even more excited to take their engagement pictures :)
We started off at a sweet little barn and then it started to rain. We got in the car in hopes that the storm would pass over but it was still spitting a little. We decided to power through the drops and I am so glad we did! We were still able to get some great shots at the barn before it started to pour.
Then we went to pick up their sweet dog Charlie and headed over to Robert E. Lee Park. Lauren had a great idea of writing their date on a heart and hanging it around Charlie's neck while they stood behind him. It was quite an adventure trying to get Charlie to look at me because he is deaf. I would take a treat, hold it to his nose, and back up so he would sniff it and look at me. There were lots of times where he yawned which was super cute! Check those pictures out in the bloopers section at the end.
It was a lot of fun taking pictures of these two because they love each other so much. They also both love God and want their relationship to reflect that. One of my favorite parts was when they held a sign from 1 John 4:19 that says,
"We love because He first loved us"
We can only love each other because God first loved us. He loves us so much that He sent His son to die for us and deliver us from our sins. Now we can have a relationship with Him and live in freedom. So thankful! I love that Lauren and Zach wanted to express God's love through their engagement pictures!
After the shoot the three of us went out to dinner at the AMAZING Pei Wei! We opened tons of fortune cookies to find a good one to take a picture with the ring :) I am so blessed to have them as friends and was honored to take their engagement pictures.
Enjoy these pictures of this beautiful couple! Can't wait to be a part of their wedding next September :)
