Teal Tuesday: A Trip to NYC

This a special feature Teal Tuesday of our family traveling to NYC for my cousin's wedding! I feel a little strange putting this post up because I only used my Canon to take the pictures of the invites and the m&m's because I wanted to be free to spend time with my family at the wedding! The rest of the pictures on this post are from my iphone and a few from my moms small point and shoot.

We packed our bags and headed to NYC on Friday for the big weekend! It was so much fun because Kevin and Kristy were able to come. Friday night was the rehearsal dinner and it was a blast. Evan and Noelle showed a slide show with lots of adorable baby pictures and pictures from their relationship. They went to high school together and have been dating for a long time! Evan and Noelle were so excited to tie the knot.

Kevin and Kristy had never been to NYC before, so we did a little sight seeing including visiting the m&m store! I bought lots of teal m&m's and gave the chocolate treats a mini photo shoot :) We also celebrated Father's Day while we were there which was very special.

It was Evan's dream to get married in Central Park so at midnight, everyone headed over to the park with lots of white balloons. They got married that night and we released to balloons!

The next day was the big wedding! Noelle works for Oscar de la Renta, so the whole bridal party wore Oscar. It was SUCH a beautiful wedding and Noelle looked fabulous. My cousins from Texas and California were also there which made the whole trip a big reunion. We had a blast spending time with everyone and seeing Evan and Noelle get married. They are such an amazing couple and I love them so much! One of my favorite parts was the grooms cake. A FABULOUS Canon camera with a film strip with pictures of Evan and Noelle all the way around (there is a picture later in the post). Evan is a professional fashion photographer in NYC so it was very fitting :)

I took pictures of all of the print pieces because they were so well designed and letterpressed. My favorite. The colors and typefaces they chose were incredible. So thankful to be in the Abell, Winchell, Miller Family!!

It was SO nice to not be taking pictures the whole time and just enjoy the wedding. As a photographer, people often expect me to take pictures wherever I am; but sometimes I just want to hang out with the people I am with and not be behind the lens. It is also fun to be the one in the pictures sometimes too! So I apologize for not having more pictures of the actual wedding, but enjoy these few pictures we took throughout the weekend weekend!
