Teal Tuesday: Christmas in Cali

This year we went to California for Christmas! Every year we rotate between California, Texas & Baltimore and this year we went to Cali. It was SUCH a blast to be on the west coast for a few days with the family and Kev. This is a Teal Tuesday dedicated to my sweet cousin Lizz because not only was Christmas on a Tuesday, but Lizz also filled my stocking and almost everything in it was teal! I love all of the gifts.

Since Austin and Kristy weren't able to come to California this year, we skyped with them on the morning we opened our stockings. I filled Kristy's stocking and mailed it to her so she could open it with the group on Christmas morning. We share a love for teal so I bought her a few teal things as well :) I am thankful for technology and the ability to feel like you are hanging out with someone when they can't be with you.

Going to the fantastic restaurant In-N-Out was of course one of the first things we did when we arrived in California...and also right before we left :) If only they had one on the east coast! Kevin had never been to California before, so we took him to the city to tour the Golden Gate Bridge, Lombard Street and see Alcatraz from afar. The rest of the time we were in Portola Valley we had quality time with the family since we only see them twice a year.

I was able to be a part of a wonderful gift that my cousins gave to their parents while we were there. Lizz had the idea of replicating a picture of her and her brothers when they were young kids. We went on the deck and I took some pictures of them in the same order as the kid picture. It was so funny and my Aunt and Uncle loved it! You can see the comparison pictures below :)

I am so blessed to be a part of a family that gets together every year even though we live so far from each other. I treasure each of them so much and can't wait to see them in July.

Enjoy these pictures from our trip to the great state of California! Kevin and I had fun taking some pictures in Photo Booth on my new iPad mini on the plane :) There is also a really funny picture of Erin chasing a bird that is hilarious.
