This engagement session was very special because it was at the Bride's grandparents farm. Brittany would visit her grandparents a lot when she was a kid and now she has engagement pictures at their farm! They even brought their sweet little pup Duke for a few shots.
Here is Brittany and Jim's story from Brittany's point of view!
"Jim and I have known of each other since we were very young but he really came into my life in high school as a great friend and almost 10 years later here we are! Jim asked me to marry him in the most perfect way I could have imagined and while it may seem simple to others, he found a way to honor every aspect of our story into one moment. It was a Sunday, which has always been our day together, and I had all but given up on a proposal after waiting so long, so was not expecting it in the least at this point. We went to pick up breakfast and coffee at our favorite spot and then went for a hike with our dog, Duke (the love of both of our lives haha). We ended up at a beautiful point on the hike that overlooks the Susquehanna River and after taking in the scenery for a while, Jim shocked me by getting down on his knee and pulling out the ring that we had picked out together months before. Jim has always done things in his own time - very purposefully and that day he asked me to share my life with him forever. We're pretty simple really - we both work a lot so appreciate every minute we do get to spend with together. There is nothing more important to us in this world than our friends, family, and each other. Ultimately it just comes down to the fact that we are home to each other and always have been, and we know how lucky we are to spend our lives with the one person in this world that understands and accepts you better than you do yourself."
They are a wonderful couple and we can't wait to shoot their wedding in June! Enjoy these photos from their engagement shoot!
