Dan and Kirsten (or as a lot of us at Nevermore CrossFit call her, “KP”) met at work and are getting married next fall! I was so excited when they asked us to shoot their wedding because they are such sweet people. We did their engagement session at North Point State Park and they brought their fur baby Pippin along for some photos! It was calling for rain that day, but thankfully we were able to get their session in before it started to downpour! There was even a rainbow at the beginning of the shoot!
Here is their love story from Kirsten’s perspective!
We met 5 years ago where we both working at Pickles Pub. I started as a hostess and he was running food. One day we both took our lunch break at the same time, and shared ranch dressing, when someone sat down with us, I jokingly said “excuse me we’re on a date”. We started hanging out outside work shortly after. We spent a lot of time that summer hanging out together and with his best friend (and best man) John. We stopped hanging out when school started up again, but then after 6-8 months we started dating. And well, we’re still together! We already had a foundation set, so after that things moved fast and we were set.
And the proposal!
He rented a catamaran outside of Annapolis, had our friend Veronica distract me for a day and then made plans to meet up with her husband and Dan for “dinner”. We took the boat to Thomas Point Lighthouse where the captain parked the boat and he proposed. Then we grilled on the boat and went swimming. Then we rode off into the sunset!
