John and Elizabeth are married!! These two tied the knot at Pier 5 Hotel in downtown Baltimore. They were able to share a First Look and take some portraits outside before the rain started! Elizabeth's nephew was the ring bearer and he did such a good job. After the Ceremony, Elizabeth and John when through the sword arch for their exit! They danced the night away and started their married lives together.

I will never forget that first moment that we met, when two worlds collided, and I found my best friend. Our story begins in the spring of 2015. New beginnings were in the air. John was starting a new job at Fort Meade, Maryland, as a reward for having spent too much time abroad, “in the trenches.” A full week later, Liz too, having spent much of her adult life “in the trenches” of middle school education, was starting a job in the very same office as John. The Universe, with its mercurial Cheshire Smile was observing the introduction of a lifetime. John was fully settled into his new desk job. He was so confident of his abilities that he was neglecting his duties and reading new hire announcements instead. Many of the new-join’s biographies were rather unimpressive, and depressingly “old.” He read one from “Elizabeth ‘Liz’ Purnell” that was longer than most and exceptionally detailed. He specifically sighed as “another old person” was hired. Two days later, returning to the office, John rounded a corner by the office printer and ran into a new employee. He found himself stunned and stammering as he tried to excuse his fluster to his colleagues and introduce himself to the mesmerizing woman before him. The colleague returned the favor. John’s response was immediate, “Oh you’re Liz!?” He awkwardly excused himself and ran back to his desk to find the deleted biography of “Elizabeth ‘Liz’ Purnell” just to verify he had met the right Liz. He had. He was instantaneously smitten. John was beyond awkward, and endearing, as he tried valiantly to be professionally courteous and friendly towards Liz during her on-boarding. It became quite evident however that a friendship would simply not be enough. After all, this was kismet. A summer love bloomed and grew into a deep and cherished companionship. It took John little time to realize a life altering thought which he quickly shared to his good friend, “I’m going to marry that girl.” This would require a plot to end all plots! John set about to win her, surprise her, and create the all-ending best ever engagement for her! John had a lot to learn. The Rings Yes, dear reader, “rings.” Some background: In 2013, John was ordered to stand-up a team of Marine advisor’s that would go to the Republic of Georgia to train their Special Operations Forces for a deployment to Afghanistan. Sitting in Cardiff-by-the-Sea, California, one evening John was keenly aware of the long and very arduous path he was set on. A past that carried with it many scars and a future that was just as precarious he decided to make a deal with God. To seal that agreement and demonstrate his seriousness to himself, John had a ring designed, a one-of-a-kind Opal, that would be worn by his “forever.” He would carry that ring with him for the next, very long, two years. It was in the summer of 2015, that John looked at Liz and realized that it was her ring. Now, John was in full wedding planning mode. Clearly, he’d need to let Liz know that soon. He needed an engagement ring. He returned to the same jeweler (via phone) to re-introduce himself and tell his story. The jeweler never forgot him, and the two set-out to make a ring uniquely suited for Liz. They are excited to spend forever together!
