Mark and Shelby are married!! They say it is good luck when it rains on your wedding day, and it was pouring right before these two tied the knot! They exchanged vows in their reception room with the beautiful string lights overhead and their family and friends surrounding them. It stopped raining after the ceremony, so we were able to take portraits outside! It was amazing.
With cabernet bridesmaid dresses, gorgeous florals, and rustic details, Mark and Shelby’s wedding was perfectly their style. What an fabulous day!
Here is a little bit of their love story + proposal from Shelby's perspective!
Mark and I met at JMU through the Marching Royal Dukes. We both played trombone in the band. We were friends for a year and a half before we started to date. I had a huge crush on Mark and everybody knew about it. All of our friends encouraged us to date each other, but after awhile I had given up. After a season of not talking much, Mark started to talk to me A LOT, and was pursuing me. The rest is history and now we're getting married after 2.5 years of dating! He proposed on a Sunday, at our favorite place in Harrisonburg. Our normal Sunday routine was to go to church, grab bagels and Mr. J's, and then eat them at Silver lake Mill in Dayton. He proposed after we finished eating, right by the lake!

So precious.
Married!
This was the arch Mark and Shelby were planning on getting married under until it rained and they had to move the ceremony inside. We had to get some pictures under it because it was so cute!
Love this hairpiece!
So much joy.

The mason jars were also the wedding favor! Love it.
