This was our last engagement shoot of the year and it was one of my favorites! Matt & Kristin have a cute little pup named Lily who we secretly think is our pup Sadie's twin sister!! They look so similar and are the same age, it is crazy. We did the engagement session in Old Town Alexandria and thankfully the December weather cooperated with us! We walked around downtown and by the water and Lily loved it.
Here is a little piece of their love story & the proposal from Kristin's perspective:
Matt and I met at Whitlows in Clarendon. We instantly hit it off and Matt asked me on a date! We've been inseparable ever since. Lily and I moved into Matt's house in 2014. This sealed the deal for me! The first year we started dating, we took a trip to Charleston and absolutely fell in love. We have been every year since then. When we visited Whitehall, it reminded us of a southern mansion in Charleston. The wedding is going to be blush and gold, with a slight southern flair and we can't wait! Matt proposed at our home in Arlington. He tricked me by saying he was taking our yorkie-poo, Lily, on a walk. Then he came in and I picked her up. The ring was on her collar. So sweet!
