Engagement shoots are a great way to get to know your photographer and learn how to be more comfortable in front of the camera. William and Jennifer are naturals and are so in love with each other. We did their engagement session at Hayfields Country Club in Cockeysville where their wedding will be this fall. It was a gorgeous golden hour and we had so much fun taking the golf cart to the willow tree, by the pond, and all around the golf course!

Here is their love story from Jenny’s perspective:

William moved to Baltimore in May of 2016 to work at Under Armour and joined Bumble to start meeting people. It took fewer than two weeks before he and I matched on the app and went on our first date at Blue Agave. We went to a Brandi Carlile concert, went hiking, and introduced him to all the foods that taste better with Old Bay. One night in August he took me on a sunset cruise on a sailboat in the Inner Harbor to ask me to be his girlfriend! We've been having so much fun ever since.

And the proposal story!

In August this past year, William said "We're going away for Labor Day weekend, I'll tell you what to pack but the destination is a surprise." I was still telling myself to be patient... it's just a trip...no big deal. It wasn't until our layover in Philly that I learned the final destination was Acadia National Park in Maine. I loved it. We went hiking, explored town and prepped for dinner that evening. He drove us to a garden and said "we're going to stop here real quick." He knows I adore flowers of all kinds. He was quiet and fidgety as we walked into the garden into a clearing. He knelt down and with tears in his eyes. My memory of his words is a blur, but I remember his eyes. I was so happy. We sat down on a bench laughing, talking, and just trying to breathe again. We got photos in the garden as the sunset over the water. We finished the evening with dinner to celebrate. In the words of the photographer later, "Yeah...there was a lot of giggling."
