What a year! In 2019 we shot 15 weddings, 10 engagement sessions, 45 family sessions, 12 maternity sessions, and 21 newborn sessions. So many amazing clients and relationships we had the honor to capture! I love doing this behind the scenes post every year to show you all what the environment was like where the images were taken and the different ways we get our shots.
Our last wedding of the year was a success! Scott and Taylor said, “I do” at the McDonogh Chapel with their family and friends in attendance. During the wedding sweet little Bo kept walking up to the altar and wanted to be a part of the ceremony! It was adorable. After the ceremony, everyone headed to the Elkridge Country Club for dinner and dancing. It was a wonderful evening.
Chris and Jo are one of those couples who sync so well together. They are both head-over-heels for each other which made their wedding day an amazing celebration. Chris and Jo exchanged beautiful vows at the District Winery as the sun was setting over DC. They danced the night away with their family and friends with delicious wine from the winery and amazing music!
William and Jennifer exchanged beautiful vows in front of their friends and family at their home church on the perfect October day. After the ceremony, they both were teary-eyed with joy in becoming husband and wife! The fun continued as they danced the night away at Hayfields Country Club with delicious food and cake.
Christian and Chelsea are married! These two tied the knot overlooking the water at Herrington on the Bay with their friends and family surrounding them. There were gorgeous wooden tables, tall candles, and beautiful florals throughout the reception. The cherry on top was halfway through the reception, Christian’s brother surprised him at the wedding. Their family didn’t think they would see him at the wedding because he was getting deployed to Afghanistan, so it was a wonderful surprise that he had a few more weeks before he left!
Jacob and Hayley are married! These two are one of the sweetest couples we have ever worked with. They were in their own world during the First Look and portraits because they were so excited to become husband and wife. There were lots of tears as Hayley walked down the aisle at Liberty Mountain Resort! The pops of pink and the candy and cigar bar were the perfect decor pieces for Jacob and Hayley’s big day.
Kirsten and Dan are married!! These two CrossFitters tied the knot at the beautiful Accelerator Space in Baltimore with their closest family and friends surrounding them. Dan proposed on a boat in Annapolis so sharing a first look and personal vows before the Ceremony was very special. It was a gorgeous October day with lots of tears and laughter! Their two pups Pippin and Rumpy were also in attendance to watch their parents become husband and wife.
Kyle and Kaitlyn tied the knot overlooking the water at Herrington on the Bay on a gorgeous fall day. Their adorable pup Norman wore a bowtie and cufflinks around his paws as he walked down the aisle! Kyle and Kaitlyn have a beautiful love for one another that is selfless and full of joy. It was a fabulous celebration!
Shawn and Elise are married!! It was a beautiful fall day at Chanteclaire Farm as these two tied the knot overlooking the lake. They shared a tearful First Look before the ceremony and were full of joy the entire day. Both Shawn and Elise are also big WVU fans so they both wore stylish socks for the wedding. It was adorable! Their cute pup Cole was also at the wedding for a few pictures. He had a bandana around his neck that said, “My humans are getting married.”. So cute!
Lloyd and Madeline said, “I do” as the sun was setting at Wye RIver Conference Center in Queenstown, Maryland. Before the ceremony, they shared a beautiful first look and exchanged personal vows with one another. There were happy tears and many laughs! The details were extraordinary with brushed gold flatware, rose wine glasses, and greenery designed by Steelcut Flower Co..
Josh and Hannah are finally married! It was a wonderful celebration at St. Moses Church with their friends and family in attendance. Josh, his brothers, and dad performed a beautiful worship song together which was very special. There were many tears of joy! Josh and Hannah danced the night away at The Accelerator Space under the hanging lights and everyone had a blast celebrating the newlyweds.
Cameron and Kelsey are married!! It was a romantic and beautiful summer afternoon as these two said, “I do” under the weeping willow trees at Pond View Farm. Cameron and Kelsey shared a sweet First Look and were full of joy when we were taking their portraits. The slate blue bridesmaid dresses and poppy flowers in the bouquet made for simple and classic details. Kelsey’s mom also hand-cut all of the circular menus on the plates and designed the craft beer sign! It was an amazing day!
This was a wedding for the books! Jessica and Leo tied the knot at the beautiful William Paca House in downtown Annapolis on a warm summer day. First they shared a First Look at the statehouse before meeting their bridal party at the venue. The entire day Leo and Jessica were laughing with each other and had the best day becoming husband and wife. They were a joy to photograph!
Chris and Lindy are MARRIED!! The forecast was calling for rain and they were nervous they would have to have the ceremony inside, but it decided to clear up right before Lindy walked down the aisle! When these two are together they are in their own little world and it is beautiful to watch. They had a morning wedding which meant it was only fitting to have brunch for lunch! The custom omelet and pancake/waffle bar was delicious. It was an amazing wedding!
