Shawn and Elise got engaged in Pittsburgh and can’t wait to get married next year! They have an adorable black lab named Cole and he had a blast running around during the engagement session. We did their engagement session at Greenbrier State Park since they love being outside in the woods and by the water. It was beautiful!
Here is their love story from Elise’s perspective:
We met on February 12th, 2016, during my senior year of college, at a local bar in Morgantown, WV. He caught my eye first, and I was actually the one that asked for HIS number at the end of the night. We spent just about every day together before he officially asked me to be his girlfriend in March. I graduated and moved back home to Pittsburgh that May. Long story short, we were apart for 9 months before we began talking again on what would've been our 1 year anniversary in 2017. Since then, we have purchased our first home together, got our beautiful black lab this February, and of course, him popping the question right after!
And the proposal story!
We were in downtown Pittsburgh, at a bar called 'Pork 'n Beans'! It was my birthday weekend, and we had just gone out to a nice dinner with my best friend and my mom. Earlier that day, he'd shown my mom the ring and gotten her blessing. My best friend (who had no idea he was about to ask) took a picture of the two of us together, and he asked her to take one more before whispering in my ear, "Will you marry me?" and pulling out the ring from his pocket. I started balling in the middle of the bar! It was perfect.
