This little girl is one! I can't believe it was a year ago that we were doing her newborn session. And now Shannon and John are expecting baby number two! We went to Sherwood Gardens and were so thankful the rain held off. The bushes were still blooming and there was a bed of beautiful yellow tulips that were open.
I want to continue to let people know that during the shoots I post on my blog, there is 99% of the time a breakdown. There is usually a time during the shoot when the kids don't want to smile, cooperate, or look at the camera. This is completely normal!! I post the best images from the session on the blog, but trust me, there are crying kids behind the scenes at some point during the shoot. This is why I only offer an hour session and not mini-sessions. Kids need time to feel comfortable in front of the camera and also need breaks throughout the shoot (candy/snack incentives never hurt either!). I have started capturing the crying because down the road it makes for a funny memory for your family! If you have a session coming up, just relax and know that your child will probably have a meltdown or be fussy at some point, but I will still work my magic during our hour together and get some great ones!
Sadie's favorite part of the family shoot was sitting her little rocking chair. She looked so cute rocking back and forth in the tulips! Enjoy these images of the growing Maple family!
Happy birthday beautiful girl! You are going to be a great big sister.
