This wedding was one for the books. Not only was it the largest wedding we have ever shot, but it was extra special because Sara was my neighbor growing up. Connor and Sara have such a beautiful relationship that centers around their love for Jesus. They tied the knot overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains with hundreds of people they love surrounding them, including their 10 adorable flower girls! Connor and Sara both teared up as the barn doors opened and she walked down the aisle with her dad. It was the perfect moment!
There were heartfelt speeches, a delicious dinner, and lots of dancing to follow. The celebration was full of joy and God’s faithfulness was so evident. The couple went above and beyond and wrote a personalized letter to each family/friend guest that was at the wedding. Their table number was on the front of the envelope to tell them what table they would be sitting at. So sweet and meaningful!
Here is their love story from Sara’s perspective:
Connor and I met back in 2017 working together for Young Life in Harrisonburg. We were friends for a few months, but both started to have feelings for each other in January of 2018. Connor asked me on our first date February 15, 2018! We dated for about 7 months, but broke up. We like to say it was right person, wrong time. We continued to be friends, co-workers, and even neighbors! Two years later, almost down to the week, we started dating again (August 28, 2020)! It's been the sweetest.
And the proposal story!
Connor took me on a date one Saturday (February 27, 2021). We got breakfast at a local spot called Thomas House and then we scratched off a date on our Couples Adventure book. The date took us on a fun picnic, where we sat with a gorgeous view of the Blue Ridge Mountains and ate our favorite foods. That day was Mr. Williams birthday, so the plan the whole day was to go meet his parents for a nice dinner later that night. After the picnic, we watched Greatest Showman, which was one of the first things we did together back when we first dated) and then headed back to my house for me to change real quick for dinner! We walked in my house and there were roses and candles everywhere, and our song "You are the best thing" was playing. I was shocked. He read me a sweet letter he had written back on August 24, 2020 and then asked me to marry him!!
