Mark and Shelby are getting married! They met at JMU and can't wait to get married down the road at The Granary in Weyers Cave, VA this fall. We did their engagement session at the beautiful Brookside Gardens with blooming tulips and golden hour light. It was the perfect evening!
Here is a little bit of their love story + proposal from Shelby's perspective!
Mark and I met at JMU through the Marching Royal Dukes. We both played trombone in the band. We were friends for a year and a half before we started to date. I had a huge crush on Mark and everybody knew about it. All of our friends encouraged us to date each other, but after awhile I had given up. After a season of not talking much, Mark started to talk to me A LOT, and was pursuing me. The rest is history and now we're getting married after 2.5 years of dating! He proposed on a Sunday, at our favorite place in Harrisonburg. Our normal Sunday routine was to go to church, grab bagels and Mr. J's, and then eat them at Silver lake Mill in Dayton. He proposed after we finished eating, right by the lake!
