The final wedding of 2015 was a success! Melanie and Nick tied the knot on the beach at the Iberostar Paraíso Lindo in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. It was warm and sunny as they exchanged vows becoming husband and wife! It was a dream taking bride and groom portraits on the white sandy beach, on the path of palm tress, and in front of colorful walls.
Melanie's nephew was adorable as he walked his aunt down the aisle. He was so proud to give her away to Nick alongside Melanie's father! They have such a sweet relationship. During the cocktail hour there was a musical performance with sombrero's and guitars. The guests loved it! One special thing about destination weddings is it is a little more intimate with just your closest friends and family around. We were happy to get a shot of everyone in attendance at the wedding.
Here is a little bit of their love story!
We were introduced through mutual friends. Several months after the introduction, as a true gentleman, Nick texted Melanie at 4:00 in the morning to inquire about a date. Melanie was obviously swept off of her feet, and immediately expressed interest. The rest is history.
Nick had thought for some time about the perfect proposal in the perfect part of Baltimore - somewhere overlooking the harbor, a scenic park, or a classy restaurant. Instead, after waiting longer than Melanie would probably have preferred, and feeling some pressure, Nick went another route. While out on a Sunday drive Nick realized that they were on the exact same street and block on which they had parked on their first date. This struck him as a suitably romantic location, so he suavely pulled the ring from his pocket, and asked for her hand in marriage.
Congratulations Melanie & Nick! It was a joy to be a part of your big day.
What a beautiful day! Destination weddings are a treat.
