Molly and Aaron are married!! Their backyard wedding was one for the books and it was an honor to be a part of it. They had their closest family and friends in attendance with a rolling reception with string lights and a band. It was the perfect evening!
Here is a little bit of their love story:
Like all great millennial love stories, ours started with a quick swipe right. Kidding. But honestly, we did meet through a dating app and met face-to-face at a local bar in DC. Aaron is a cool, collective, low-key guy and I am ... well, not. I was sure he didn't like me during our first interaction, but he was too cute not to continue pursuing. Luckily, he was interested! We continued to talk and see each other regularly and he got the ultimate seal of approval - my dog loved him! I knew Aaron was really serious about me when he asked me to go on vacation with him the first summer we were dating. We enjoyed a week in Miami and Key West which is where we first said the magical three words, "I love you." Since that moment, we've pretty much been inseparable.
And the proposal story!
Back in 2019, Aaron and I had talked about moving in together in 2020. Both of our leases would be up in December and things were getting very serious between us, so it seemed like a natural transition. When I mentioned to Aaron that I absolutely wanted to live together (to ensure we could!) before getting engaged, he seemed to want to push our timeline up a bit. As we started talking about moving in together, I would often joke about getting engaged and being married. Lo and behold, we moved in together in September. Our first 6 days of living together were fantastic! We were smitten kittens. On our first Saturday in our new apartment, Aaron's parents were coming to visit. That Friday, I was a cleaning maniac. I had a to-do list and little time to spare. Aaron had agreed to pick up dinner that night since I was running around the house. He had picked up champagne (to celebrate living together) and sandwiches from the deli across the street. We enjoyed the champagne with our sandwiches, then I was back to cleaning again! Aaron insisted we needed to take a break from cleaning for just a few moments. So we sat on the couch together and he made some comment about spending the rest of our lives together. I honestly didn't know what was happening. My heart stopped and I just stared at him, which prompted him to giggle and say "I'm serious, will you marry me?" Still not convinced, I sat there and just looked at him. Then he got down on one knee right there in our living room and that was that! So he did listen when I said I wanted to live together first and it gave it a full 6 days before popping the question :)
These two are too cute. Enjoy these images from Molly and Aaron’s big day!
