This was our last wedding of the year and it was one for the books! Thomas and Kristen got married outside on the most beautiful fall September day. They exchanged letters before the Ceremony without seeing each other and it was adorable! After the Ceremony, we took portraits in the golden field and even got a few shots with the owl that was on site that day. It was awesome!
Here is a little bit of their love story from Kristen's perspective:
We met in the summer of 2009 at our high school job. We both were the new kids at the mall smoothie kiosk and quickly became friends, commiserating over the "stress" of our first real job. It wasn't until the end of summer 2011, when I was heading off to college, that things got serious and we decided to try and make something work. After a year and a half long distance dating, I made the transfer to his school, WVU, to be closer. We both graduated and decided to take Denver jobs in 2015 for an adventure. At first we lived right downtown in the heart of the city but managed to buy our first home together in the suburbs the following year. After our engagement, we knew it was time to head back to our roots and move back east to where it all began. We've been together for seven years and still are as happy as ever!
And the proposal story from Tom's perspective!
On June 30, 2017 I popped the question during a beautiful summer sunset in our favorite neighborhood park. We were on a picnic, trying to figure out the next steps in our lives after Kristen's office was restructuring. I had to stop and reassure her that there are a lot of uncertainties and a lot of possibilities for our future, but no matter what happens, I want to do it together. I asked her to marry me through happy tears, and since then we have been fearlessly excited for what's to come next.
