This was a wedding for the books! The morning of their wedding Veronica & Stephen planned to go down the Slide the City in Lancaster in their rehearsal dinner attire! They were the hit of the event. Veronica went down the slide in a wedding dress and her vail and Stephen had on a full suit! It was a blast taking photos of them. They even had a couple friends go down in bridesmaid dresses and their officiant went down as well!
After Slide the City Veronica & Stephen tied the knot at Riverdale Manor. It was a beautiful ceremony under the trees with their friends and family in attendance. After the ceremony they danced the night away and Stephen even sang a song to Veronica. It was epic!
Here is their love story from Veronica's perspective:
I used to go to the gym in the AM and Steve was in the afternoon. One morning, the classes were running behind so I left to get to work on time and came back that afternoon. That afternoon class ended up being Steve, Ropke (our officiant), and me. Steve and I started talking via Facebook and then after many openings, he asked me out to a movie. We went and saw "That's My Boy" one evening and then ending up having a date every night for the next 9 nights.
Our proposal... one random Saturday morning, nearly two and half years after we started dating, I woke up and Steve was already up and about for the day. Steve asked if I wanted breakfast and then went to the kitchen to start cooking. While breakfast was cooking, Steve and I did our usual routine and started cleaning up the kitchen. After putting away all the clean dishes, we started to fill the dishwasher with dirty dishes. Steve asked me to get his dirty silverware out of his lunch box. I scooped into the pocket and pulled out a ring and a flattened penny I made for him that says "I Love You." I was in total shock. I didn't look at the ring and just kept asking "Are you kidding me?!". After a few minutes of Steve telling me "No, I'm not kidding" and me not hearing him, he came over, asked "So, did you want to get married?" and put the ring on my finger. It was perfect!
