Jean & Alex are MARRIED!! These two have been waiting a long time to tie the knot and they finally did. They met in high school English class and said their vows on a beautiful summer day. They both love the movie UP and each wore a grape soda bottle cap just like in the movie! Alex also had a picture of the cute UP couple on one of his specialized cuff links. The other one had a heart with their wedding date on it. So precious!
Here is their love story!
We met our senior year in Dulaney High School in English class. We ate lunch practically everyday together in the library. Through high school Figgy (Alex's nickname) was actually interested in me as I found out later on through late night conversations, but I had a boyfriend at the time.
We reconnected at the end of our first year of college when we were both single. We began to talk a lot on the phone and he finally and I meant FINALLY!!!! asked me out on a date. I remember being so nervous seeing him again wondering if we would still connect like we did in high school. When he rang the door bell and I opened the door, that was the first time I think we both realized that we were actually going to pursue a different type of relationship. Our first date was at Camden Yards where we enjoyed hot dogs and baseball, but mostly hot dogs. We saw each other every weekend and felt inseparable when we were together and when we said "Good night." We both went to Towson University for our last two years of college and ended up graduating on the same day. In August 2013, we rented our first apartment.
When we moved in I knew that I wanted to propose to Jean. Our friendship continued to grow over the few years we had been together. I knew I loved her and was ready for us to spend the rest of our lives together. For weeks I contemplated different proposals, scenarios and places. I tried to think of somewhere that would be meaningful to us. On December 24th, 2013, I took her to The National Harbor in Washington D.C. On a cold windy pier I finally gathered up the courage to kneel down and ask her to marry me after trying to tell her how much I loved her. My words of affection must have seemed like rambling because I was so nervous. I guess it worked though, because she said "Yes" and then ran to the end of the pier after giving me a kiss and just giggled.
Congrats Jean & Alex! Your day was beautiful!
Congrats again Jean & Alex!! You two are a wonderful couple.
