This wedding was one for the books. Not only was it the largest wedding we have ever shot, but it was extra special because Sara was my neighbor growing up. Connor and Sara have such a beautiful relationship that centers around their love for Jesus. They tied the knot overlooking the blue ridge mountains with hundreds of people they love surrounding them, including their 10 adorable flower girls! Connor and Sara both teared up as the barn doors opened and she walked down the aisle with her dad. It was the perfect moment!

Carlos and Amanda had a beautiful waterfront wedding on a warm summer day. There was so much joy between them and it was an amazing celebration! They even learned a special dance for their first dance which was a big hit with the guests.

Congrats to the newlyweds! Brian and Dylan tied the knot at Herrington on the Bay overlooking the water with their friends and family surrounding them. The forecast called for a thunderstorm but it didn’t rain the entire day! The sun was shining and the joy was evident. These two also had their pup of honor show up for a few photos on the dock which was adorable!

These two tied the knot under the willows with their friends and family surrounding them at Pond View Farm. Joe and Kelly originally planned on getting married last year but had to quickly make the decision to reschedule due to COVID-19. The day was perfect and the storm held off for them to share their vows and take photos afterwards. One aspect that made their day very special was a recorded speech from one of Joe’s groomsmen that is currently deployed. It was such a wonderful surprise!

This wedding was an absolute dream! We love shooting destination weddings and Chris and Leanna’s wedding was one for the books. These two tied the knot on the warm sandy beach of Jamaica at the Iberostar Grand Rose Hall with their family and closest friends surrounding them. The beautiful breeze and clear water ocean was the perfect backdrop for their wedding!

Ethan and Sarah tied the knot at Chanteclaire Farm in Friendsville Maryland on a gorgeous spring day. It was our first wedding of the season and it was a beautiful one! These two tied the knot with their friends and family around and the joy was so evident. It was a wonderful celebration!

Nothing could stop Cory and Allie from tying the knot last summer! These two got married in the middle of the Corona pandemic at Centennial Park with their closest family and friends surrounding them. It was a gorgeous afternoon at the park and the perfect day for a wedding!

Molly and Aaron are married!! Their backyard wedding was one for the books and it was an honor to be a part of it. They had their closest family and friends in attendance with a rolling reception with string lights and a band. It was the perfect evening!

We had our first wedding in 2020 and it was definitely different than originally planned. However, Zach and Sydney’s small wedding celebration was just as special and beautiful. Especially because the wedding took place in the front yard of Sydney’s childhood home! Because of the gathering restrictions of 10 people or less, they chose to only have their parents and siblings at the ceremony. Thankfully because of technology, they were able to Zoom the rest of their wedding guests in to watch!

This post took a little longer than normal because of how busy we were this past fall! We had an incredible wedding season in 2019 and worked with so many amazing couples. What a year! In 2019 we shot 15 weddings, 10 engagement sessions, 45 family sessions, 12 maternity sessions, and 21 newborn sessions. So many amazing clients and relationships we had the honor to capture! I love doing this behind the scenes post every year to show you all what the environment was like where the images were taken and the different ways we get our shots.

Our last wedding of the year was a success! Scott and Taylor said, “I do” at the McDonogh Chapel with their family and friends in attendance. During the wedding sweet little Bo kept walking up to the altar and wanted to be a part of the ceremony! It was adorable. After the ceremony, everyone headed to the Elkridge Country Club for dinner and dancing. It was a wonderful evening.

Chris and Jo are one of those couples who sync so well together. They are both head-over-heels for each other which made their wedding day an amazing celebration. Chris and Jo exchanged beautiful vows at the District Winery as the sun was setting over DC. They danced the night away with their family and friends with delicious wine from the winery and amazing music!

After the ceremony, they both were teary-eyed with joy in becoming husband and wife! The fun continued as they danced the night away at Hayfields Country Club with delicious food and cake.
