I hope you all had a wonderful holiday and few days (or weeks!) off with your family and loved ones. Now that we are back to work, I am excited to announce a new series on marriage!
Engagement shoots are one of my favorite things. They are a great time for me to get to know the couple and for them to experience being in front of the camera.
What a year this has been! I transitioned into a full time wedding & family photographer, shot 23 weddings with my amazing husband, shot a destination engagement in St John, shot a destination wedding in Mexico, experienced our first triple header, and did over 25 family shoots.
The final wedding of 2015 was a success! Melanie and Nick tied the knot on the beach at the Iberostar Paraíso Lindo in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. It was warm and sunny as they exchanged vows becoming husband and wife!
The best part of being a destination wedding photographer is getting to travel to amazing places. And getting to travel with Kevin is a plus too! Last weekend we shot a wedding in Playa del Carmen, Mexico at the Iberostar Paraíso Lindo.
Meg & Andrew are married!! These two tied the knot in the DC War Memorial with their friends and family cozy under the marble roof. It was drizzling a bit during their first look and ceremony but that didn't stop these two from having the best day of their lives!
Meghan and I have been good friends for over 10 years! I was so excited when she asked me to shoot her and Paul's wedding next fall. For their engagement shoot we started in their neighborhood with their adorable pups Dublin and Britain.
Jason & Hayley are engaged!! They are getting married next summer and can't wait to officially be husband and wife. We went to Hampton National Historic Site for their engagement session and the fall weather was perfect.
Oh how I love fall weddings! There was a gorgeous orange and red tree at Turf Valley and it was glorious for the bride & groom portraits. Megan and Adam tied the knot outside under the willow trees with family and friends in attendance.
Oh how I love beach sessions. My dream would be to have a beach house and shoot weddings and engagements by the ocean year round! Joy and Denny have been together for 7 years and are getting married next summer.
Fall engagement sessions are my favorite!! This time of year brings out the gorgeous leaves and the light is spectacular. Emily and Tommy are such a sweet couple who can't wait to tie the knot in 2016.
Nina & Zach's wedding at Elkridge Furnace Inn was one for the books! Not only have they known each other since they were eight years old but they had birds at their ceremony! The groom loves birds so Nina's gift to Zach was having a hawk fly the rings to the best man during the ceremony!!
A few weeks ago we had the chance to go with some friends to Rodgers' Farm Corn Maze Pumpkin Patch! It was awesome to have a Sunday to walk around and relax! We picked pumpkins, took a hay ride, and watched the cute pigs run around in their pen.
I always love doing shoots for Ravens players! Crockett Gilmore and his beautiful fiancée Hayley were no exception. We did their engagement shoot in downtown Baltimore the day of the hurricane! Luckily, it didn't start raining until the very end of the shoot.
Leah and Chuck met at a bar called "No Way Jose" (so crazy!) several years ago and are now husband and wife! They tied the knot at Stone Manor Country Club in Middletown, Maryland with lots of happy tears. Emotional grooms are my favorite!!
